Lost Labor is a compilation of 155 photographs of American Workers laboring away in factories, farms and mills.
Many of the images document factories and jobs that no longer exist. Whether it is a photograph of a laborer hauling a three foot block of ice at the York Ice Machinery Corporation, or one of a man carving a half hull model for the New York Shipbuilders Corporation, or others jiggering ceramic plates for the Mayer China Company, hand spraying a wicker baby carriage for the E.A. Whitney Carriage Company, or blocking a rim for the Knox Hat Company, all are examples of lost skill and crafts.

The Origami art pictured above are just two of the thousands of Robert Lang’s creations. Robert Lang has been studying Origami since over 30 years and is now considered a master of this art form (well duh). The most amazing thing about his website is that he gives patterns for lots of his Origami creations. This means that if you’re skilled enough and you know how to read the diagrams then you too can create origami as awesome as the ones shown above. Good luck though because most of the patterns look extremely
complex.

A mouse is seen piggy-back (or in this case froggy-back) riding on a frog to survive a flooding in the Indian city of Lucknow. Good luck to both of those guys.

The Burj is the worlds only 7 Star Hotel. I guess it earned one of its stars by having the worlds highest tennis court on its roof! Watch Andre Agassi and Roger Federer play a friendly game on the roof of the Burj. What if you tripped and fell? You’d certainly see stars then. There is a safety net on the sides though.

^^^ Andre blindly running towards the edge.

^^^ Now seriously, what if you aren’t able to stop? He’s almost diving for it. What if you trip and fall on the net and then bounce off it like it was a trampoline?

^^^ Awesome view!

^^^ I wonder where that ball landed. It probably ended up on the beach or into the ocean. Nice job polluting the ocean with tennis balls, Andre. Next some whale is going to get a tennis ball stuck in it’s blow hole.

^^^ It’s almost tempting to use those nets as a trampoline

^^^ I’m really curious about where those tennis balls would land and if the hotel has hired divers to go retrieve them.

^^^ Finally, the Burj hotel in Dubai. Someone told me that there is a large fee just to get in and long around. grr. Rich people stink.

This is an advertisement for the slim u700 digital camera by Olympus. The actual dimensions of this camera are 3.5 x 1.2 x 2.5 inches so I guess the model in the image above has very fat fingers

These are images created by John Zoller. The colors and composition of all the photographs are amazing.
These photographs capture the zenith moment in a physical process utilizing primordial destructive elements (fire, heat, light) and technology. This process mirrors the intention of the work: an exploration of the themes of birth and death, beginning and ending, transcendence, and the transference of energy.

Thanks, John Zoller

Most of the photographs taken are forbidden by the government but the photographer still managed to capture them and upload.
